CuenTita Privacy Policy
Effective October 3, 2026.
CuenTita is an app by PixuTSt, the independent studio of César Eugenio Herrejón Gonzalez (Mexico), who is responsible for this policy. For any privacy question, write to [email protected].
In short
- We have no servers and no accounts. PixuTSt never receives your name, email, recordings or photos.
- What you do in CuenTita stays on your phone: your recorded sounds, the name you type, your settings, your badges and the photos you decorate.
- The microphone only listens while you tell a story or play, and CuenTita does not keep what you say. Speech recognition is done by your phone's speech service (see below).
- The free version shows Google AdMob ads, set up as suitable for children and non-personalized. Google receives some technical data to show them. CuenTita Club has no ads.
- Payments are handled by Google Play. We never see your card.
1. Microphone and speech recognition
CuenTita uses the microphone to hear the story you tell and for the game “Say it with Tita!”, so it can play the matching sound. It only listens while you turn it on (by tapping the moon or while playing).
- CuenTita does not record or store your storytelling or the text it recognizes: it uses it on the spot to look for keywords and then discards it.
- Turning speech into text is done by your phone's speech recognition service (usually Google's). Depending on your phone, its Android version and whether the language is downloaded, that service may process the audio on the phone or send it to its servers. In that case it is governed by the provider's privacy policy (for Google: policies.google.com/privacy). CuenTita's Settings show whether your language works offline.
- You can deny microphone access: CuenTita still works with its sound board, where you tap sounds by hand.
2. Sounds you record or import
In “Add a sound” you can record with your voice (only from when you tap the record button until you stop it, 10 seconds at most) or pick an audio file from your phone. The clip you choose is saved only on your phone, inside CuenTita. It is not uploaded anywhere.
3. Photos (“Photo with Tita”)
A grown-up picks a photo from the gallery or takes one with the phone's camera. CuenTita decorates it on the phone and saves it to your gallery (Pictures/CuenTita) or shares it only if you tap “Share” and choose an app. PixuTSt does not receive your photos.
4. What is stored on your phone
Settings, the optional name you type to personalize the app, your own sounds, favorites, game progress, stickers and badges, and whether you are a Club member. Everything lives in CuenTita's private storage.
Android backup: if your Google account backup is turned on, Android may include this data (including your own sounds) in that backup so you can restore it on a new phone. That backup is yours and you control it in your phone's settings; PixuTSt has no access to it.
5. Ads (free version)
The free version shows ads from Google AdMob, configured as follows:
- Child-appropriate content (G rating) and child-directed treatment.
- Non-personalized ads: your interests and history are not used to choose them.
- No advertising ID: CuenTita does not request that permission.
To show and measure ads and to prevent fraud, Google's SDK receives technical data such as the IP address, phone model and OS version, language, ad interactions (whether an ad was seen or tapped) and diagnostic information. Google handles it under its policy: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. PixuTSt does not receive that data in a way that identifies you; we only see totals (for example, how many ads were shown).
CuenTita Club members see no ads.
6. Purchases and CuenTita Club
The Club subscription is bought and managed on Google Play. Google processes payment under its own policy; CuenTita does not see your card, name or email. The app only stores on your phone whether your subscription is active and when it last checked.
7. Tita's voice
Tita speaks with the phone's text-to-speech engine. We only send it the app's own phrases, such as the game's words; never your name or anything you said.
8. Children
CuenTita is designed for a grown-up to tell stories and play with children. We do not ask for anyone's age or any child's data, there are no chats or profiles, and we do not try to identify anyone. Photos and purchases are behind a grown-up gate. If you believe a child sent us personal information (for example, by email), write to us and we will delete it.
9. Your rights and how to delete your data
Since everything is stored on your phone, you are in control:
- Delete everything: uninstall CuenTita, or go to Phone Settings → Apps → CuenTita → Storage → Clear data.
- Delete one of your sounds: in the Library, long-press the sound → “Delete sound”.
- Ads: you can review Google's ad settings at myadcenter.google.com.
You can exercise your rights of access, correction, deletion and objection, or ask us anything, at [email protected]. We reply within 20 business days at most.
10. Security
None of your data is on PixuTSt servers, because we have none. Google AdMob and Google Play connections are encrypted.
11. Changes to this policy
If what CuenTita does with your data changes, we will update this policy and the date above, and mention it on the Google Play listing. If the change is significant, we will also let you know inside the app.
